Mech-Q Ducting

Mech-Q Ducting Walkthrough

If you’re working with ducting in Mech-Q, the main module gives you all the tools to get started fast. You can select from different duct shapes, toggle insulation on or off, and enter your custom sizes. Pressure rating fields are built in too, and those will automatically show up in your bill of materials.

There are also a bunch of helpful settings you can adjust, like activating 3D drawing mode, adding or removing flanges, or choosing how and where your duct gets inserted into the drawing. Whether you want to insert from the top, bottom, or center, it’s easy to control. You can also tweak the bend radius and set up your layer configuration, which carries over into most Mech-Q modules.

Drawing duct runs is pretty smooth. You can turn on ortho mode, enter distances directly, and let Mech-Q keep the run going with elbows or terminate it where you want. If you don’t want labels or centerlines showing, just toggle them off. Once you get the flow, Mech-Q Ducting really helps speed things up and keeps your HVAC drawings neat and accurate.
